Hidden Barn Venue wedding

Rachel and Tristan’s Hidden Barn Venue wedding was on a sunny fall day in Apopka, Florida.

We’ve known Rachel for years as she and Blak grew up dancing together and taught dance as they got older. Their wedding was extra special as we got to capture a dear friend on her special day! Rachel and Tristan had known each other for eight years and dated for six before he proposed at Disney’s Fort Wilderness.

The charming countryside setting offers unique rustic-styled events in Florida. Offering first-class service, this location has been custom-designed and built with couples in mind. The Hidden Barn Venue provides two options for you to choose from when having your wedding. The DIY Package allows you to do just that…do it yourself! With this package, you can plan and contract with your chosen vendors. The All-Inclusive Package includes 95% of everything you need for your big day. With either package, you still get full access to the entire property and a wedding coordinator, tables & chairs, projection screen, speakers, and kitchen area. One of our favorite things at Hidden Barn Venue is the ivory canopies!

Rachel and Tristan decided to do a first look and were a little nervous for the day. They were so glad they went this route because it helped calm their nerves. Their first look was at the greenery-filled trellis, which gave them privacy to have a special moment between them. Before the ceremony, Tristan’s mom placed a Sixpence in Rachel’s left shoe to bring them good luck as a couple.

With not a cloud in the sky, Rachel and Tristan’s day was exactly how they’d planned. They truly put so much thought into each part of their day and the decor pieces they wanted to use. Their fall colors of cabernet and burnt orange looked beautiful with the rustic vibe of the venue. Their ceremony was held outside at the adorable white chapel. As Rachel walked down the aisle, their guests stood with smiles and were so happy to witness this moment. After they said their vows, they exited the ceremony to one of the Disney fireworks songs.

After the ceremony, we captured family, wedding party, and couple portraits, and then Rachel changed into the embroidered sneakers she had made. These shoes had their wedding color flowers embroidered on them. We loved the hoop bouquets the bridesmaids carried.

Their celebration was in the large reception room with drapery hanging from the ceiling and a gorgeous chandelier. Everyone enjoyed themselves, and we were able to grab the most beautiful sunset portraits.

Rachel and I have known each other for years, and she has supported our photography since the beginning. We could discuss her ideas for the wedding and create a timeline for the day that would allow us to capture every important moment for them.
