Dr. Philips Center Wedding

A colorful-filled day for Marianne and Terrence’s Saint James Cathedral wedding with Dr. Phillips Center wedding reception was a joyful day!

This couple’s Orlando, Florida wedding was so much fun! It was a day filled with memorable moments and love!

Marianne and Terrence’s day started at the Grand Bohemian Hotel in downtown Orlando for them and their wedding party to get ready for their big day. They each enjoyed this time with family and friends, which allowed for a relaxed time together.

The wedding ceremony was at the St. James Catholic Cathedral. This church is decorated beautifully with stained glass windows and hand-painted murals that depict important scenes in the life of Jesus and the apostles. During the ceremony, they included a few Filipino traditions. Las arras matrimoniales are 13 coins often gifted from the wedding godparents. The priest blesses coins during the ceremony, and the groom gives them to the bride to symbolize his commitment to taking care of her. During the cord and veil ritual, Marianne and Terrance were draped with a lace veil and white cord. The veil symbolizes protection for the marriage, and the cord represents unity.

After the ceremony, we visited Dickson Azalea Park to capture photos of the couple, family, and the wedding party. This park was a great location for pictures because of its shady trees and picturesque landscape. Terrance and Marianne chose jewel-toned hues for their wedding colors, so Marianne’s bridal bouquet and bridesmaid dresses popped in the photos.

Dr Phillips Wedding Venue

Once we had gotten all the pictures, we headed to Dr. Phillips wedding venue. As one of the Orlando Florida wedding venues, the Dr. Phillips Center is a performing arts center with much to offer. One of the many spaces in this location is the DeVos Family Room. This room was the ideal space for Marianne and Terrance’s reception. The floor-to-ceiling windows made the perfect backdrop for their celebration. Their reception turned into a huge nonstop party, and everyone had a fabulous time!
