Sarah and Mason’s wedding at the Woman’s Club of Winter Park was sweet and sentimental. These two got married in the same location and on the same day as Sarah’s parents! This was such a special nod to how much her parents’ love story meant to them.
The day started with Sarah and her bridesmaids getting ready at a cute Airbnb in Sanford. Her grandma made her a garter out of material from her own wedding dress. The earrings she wore belonged to her other grandma before she passed. Sarah’s something blue was a Tiffany bracelet, a gift from her godfather. Her thoughtfulness extended to ordering a handmade silver bracelet from Trinidad for Mason. The cocoa pod is a symbol to represent Trinidad and the culture surrounding it. Everyone in her family owns one, and now Mason is officially a part of that!
We got lucky because it stopped raining in time for us to do all the photos and their ceremony outside despite a bit of rain! Once Sarah stepped into her wedding dress, her father awaited outside to see his daughter for a first look. Afterward, we traveled to a family friend’s home, which has a lovely property and worked perfectly for Mason and Sarah’s first look and couples portraits. The first look was between just the two of them, with no one around other than us photographers and videographers. These two were able to soak in this time together and loved being able to see each other before the ceremony.
The wedding ceremony was on the beautiful front lawn of the Woman’s Club of Winter Park. It’s amazing how magnificent the space looks with the light yellow color of the building and the arched windows. They added greenery to the handrails, almost making it feel like you were in a secret garden. It was a lovely ceremony to witness!
During the reception, there was a traditional Trinidad song played. While this song plays, the bride stands in the middle of the dance floor while the girls hold the outer layer of her dress and dance around her. It was so fun to see this tradition and the amusement that it brought to everyone.
They added so many personal touches to their day, making a wedding day even more special. Their family members helped them make their dream wedding come true!
Congratulations to Sarah and Mason on their wedding! It was such a pleasure celebrating your union! Enjoy scrolling through some of my favorites from their wedding at the Woman’s Club of Winter Park!
